Circle K Sunkus is working to provide effective workplaces and provide training courses for employees in order to foster compliance in the course of business operations.
Circle K Sunkus' basic approach to compliance is to exercise judgment and choose actions so as to earn the support of stakeholders, considering the need to ensure compliance with not only laws and regulations, but also with internal rules, directives from the relevant government agencies, corporate ethics, and social norms. To do so, Circle K Sunkus provides compliance-related educational programs to employees.
The Company provides various training courses and other programs for employees in order to raise their awareness of compliance, as detailed below.
(1)We hold e-learning-based training courses for all employees as a means of raising awareness.
(2)We run a regular series of feature articles called "Compliance News" in our internal newsletter.
(3)We brief all new employees on "ES Call," our internal reporting hotline, during in-house initial orientation sessions.
In April 2006, Circle K Sunkus established Internal Reporting Rules to provide a system for reporting violations of laws and corporate ethics, or breaches of social norms, in accordance with Japan's Whistleblower Protection Act. The Company has set up and operates an internal reporting hotline called "ES Call." In addition, we keep an eye on our suppliers' food preparation centers by displaying stickers with instructions on how to use our "CS Call" internal reporting system so that we can obtain information on food safety and reliability from the centers. Through these measures, we strive both to safeguard whistleblowers and optimize workplace environments.
(1)"ES Call"
This internal reporting hotline is used to report internal violations of laws and regulations, Action Guidelines, and rules as well as errors in judgment related to business ethics or social norms. The reporting hotline is also used to report on any deterioration in workplace conditions. Through this hotline, the Company is working to improve lines of communication and eliminate errors in judgment.
(2)"CS Call"
This reporting hotline is used to collect information on food safety and reliability from food preparation centers responsible for the production of Circle K Sunkusユ original-brand products.
