NPO Support Activities

NPO Support Activities

With the purpose of providing humanitarian assistance, the Company contributes a portion of earnings generated by its activities to two NPOs in support of their activities.

NGO Japan Team of Young Human Power (JHP)

JHP, an NGO specializing in international cooperation, builds and renovates schools mainly in Cambodia, and offers educational support and other volunteer-based activities. JHP is also certified as an NPO.
Circle K Sunkus has supported the construction and renovation of schools in Cambodia since the fiscal year ended February 28, 2004. From the fiscal year ended February 28, 2010, Circle K Sunkus has supported the construction of schools together with the top-ten franchisees who have received a superior performance award during the fiscal year. The seventh “Everyone’s Dream School” was built with the support of this program at Ka Po Primary School. On a cumulative basis, approximately 4,100 children are now studying at these schools.

NPO Family House

Family House provides lodging for families with children who are battling serious illnesses such as cancer. These facilities help ease the economic burden on families who come to Tokyo from other parts of Japan and overseas to seek treatment for their child. Family House warmly welcomes the children and their hard-working families to a place where they can rest and relax. Circle K Sunkus has supported Family House since 2003.
